About

“I want you to be completely satisfied with every aspect of your primary care. My goal is simple: to provide the kind of care I’d want for my own family. It would be a privilege to care for you, and I look forward to building our relationship together.”
— Dr. Bhushan

Meet Dr. Bhushan
Dr. Ambika Bhushan is a board-certified internist with a career built on a simple belief: good medicine takes time. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, a Master of Science in Global Health Science from the University of Oxford — where her dissertation received the Department of Public Health’s award for best thesis — and her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Yale University.
She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University, where she went on to build a warm, trusted primary care practice of more than 1,000 patients, earning a 4.7-out-of-5 patient satisfaction rating. She later practiced as a hospitalist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, caring for complex inpatients and leading rapid response and code teams at one of the country’s premier tertiary referral centers.
Dr. Bhushan’s path to medicine has taken her far beyond the traditional exam room. Her research has spanned tuberculosis and HIV care in South Africa, dietary influences on cognitive health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and communication in the ICU. This work has been published in journals including Neurology, the European Journal of Epidemiology and Rheumatology International, and shared at national conferences such as the American Thoracic Society. She has also taught at Harvard Medical School, mentoring students in physical diagnosis, clinical reasoning and even the art of observation through a course that trains diagnostic skill using fine art.
A global, evidence-based, deeply human approach to medicine is what she now brings to her concierge practice, and to each patient she cares for.
Life Outside the Clinic
Dr. Bhushan lives in Newport Beach with her husband and their two-year-old son. She has lived in five countries across three continents — an upbringing that shaped her lifelong love of connecting with people from all walks of life and her deep commitment to health. A self-proclaimed foodie, she loves to cook, bake, travel and explore new cities, and brings that same warmth and curiosity to every patient relationship.
